We would save the lives of 1,400 children a day.
We would save countries’ precious human and financial resources.
We would make a difference.

Each year more than 600,000 children die from diarrheal disease caused by rotavirus, and another two million are hospitalized.* Most deaths occur in developing countries where access to treatment is limited; however, nearly every child in the world will suffer an episode of diarrhea caused by rotavirus before age five.
In 2003, with funding from the GAVI Alliance and the Vaccine Fund, PATH, in partnership with the World Health Organization and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control, established the Rotavirus Vaccine Program.
The mission of the Rotavirus Vaccine Program is to reduce child morbidity and mortality from diarrheal disease by accelerating the availability of rotavirus vaccines appropriate for use in developing countries.
